I am Roxani Chatzidimitriou, an award-winning Greek composer and pianist born in 1992. My passion lies in creating a wide range of compositions including orchestral, ensemble, electroacoustic pieces, and music for film, theatre, and contemporary dance. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of having my works performed internationally and recorded by prominent orchestras such as the ERT National Symphony Orchestra. I have a strong academic background with degrees in music composition and applied music studies, and I continuously develop my craft through workshops and masterclasses with noted composers.
Recently, my composition “Zero Star Cognac” won first prize at the International Composition Competition “Ruth Crawford Seeger Prize 2024” in Chicago. I have also collaborated on various artistic projects including theatre plays, film soundtracks, and cultural center commissions. My debut album “Chronographies” and forthcoming second album reflect my interest in blending music with contemporary dance, poetry, and electronic elements. I am devoted to teaching music theory, piano, and composition, and I enjoy nurturing creative talent in myself and others.
