I have built a 40-year career across ad agencies and my own freelance graphic design service, specializing in branding, publications, illustration, and educative/journalistic cartooning. I’ve used Photoshop for print and online media, delivering visuals for clients and audiences alike. I also spent 12 years assisting learning-challenged tertiary students at Unitec, and I completed a Fine Arts degree in 2011 plus a Certificate in Higher Education. These days I focus on freelance journalistic/educational cartoons, graphics for long-term clients, and performing with my jazz bands for 28 years, alongside pursuing my metaphysical art practice.
My art practice explores Consciousness as the prime state of existence, and I’m currently working on an illustrated graphic book to visualize the invisible by updating descriptions and metaphors left by master Consciousness researchers. I propose the brain acts as a transceiver and that training the mind to subdue inherited memory can help stream from the source field, bringing continuous lightbulb moments and a shift from reactive to creative living. In addition to visual work, I’ve led live music projects since 1994 with VoxNova (Vintage Romani & Latin Jazz), Zydecosis, Cajynx, Clan, and Yeni Ses, and I continue to perform with these bands while developing my metaphysical art practice.
