    Hi guys! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/oJeDxB
I’d like to share with you my new project, “Why Does the Whale Sing?”, which I worked on together with the Galabalonca studio. For this short film, I was responsible for the texturing of all the props and environments, as well as the modeling of the hotel façade that also appears in the film.
For the environment texturing, I mainly used Substance Painter, and before that, Maya to properly prepare the UVs and maps for texturing. In the case of the hotel façade, I combined ZBrush and Maya to work on the modeling and topology, before moving on to the texturing stage.
The artistic direction aimed for a cozy, cute style with soft pastel tones and simple, not overly detailed textures.
At the end of the video you’ll also find the full short film, I hope you take a look and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on it!

I created the model in ZBrush, including the character, clothing, and props. The topology and UVs were done in Maya, and I used Arnold for rendering. Finally, I worked on the textures using Substance Painter.
The posing and blendshapes of the character were created using ZBrush and Maya.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

This bust has been an inspiration from the Marvel character Venom, to which I wanted to add my own personal touch. I aimed to give it that realistic and terrifying vibe that perfectly encapsulates this character.
For its creation, I used softwares like zBrush, Maya, and KeyShot for rendering.
    Hope you like it!!
