Hi, I am an artist – drawing, painting and printmaking – looking to create worlds that enchant. I’ve been told repeatedly I should be illustrating children’s books, so I’m now applying here! I strongly believe that there’s a place for the hand drawn, the human touch – because only the known can relate. Kids can see quickly if there’s human magic in an illustration, or if it is a cooler computer aesthetic. In an age where we're no longer sure if its drawn by ai, I feel the human drawn line can weave new, better stories. At the start of this year, 2025, I felt a strong urge not just to paint nature and elevate it into art, but to go further — to draw the viewer into the magical world we inhabit, yet so carelessly destroy. I wanted to create something gentle, beautiful, and affirmative as a counterpoint to the constant stream of negative imagery we face. For this, I enlisted the help of fairies and my imagination - with a little bit of inspiration too. I have been self-employed for many years; I regularly draw a political cartoon for a regional newspaper and design posters for local am dram groups. In 2024, I completed the online Drawing Development Year at the Royal Drawing School in London, further honing my skills and vision. In 2025, I was awarded a scholarship to attend the International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria. I have drawn live on the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, participated in numerous group exhibitions in Europe, and held solo exhibitions in Vienna, Austria and Basel, Switzerland. I am also a member of the Swiss Society of Women Artists (SGBK). I am a bilingual (German and English) Swiss/British national, as Charlie Chaplin said, "I am a citizen of the world". I have 2 grown up children, am highly motivated and extremely creative. I have exhibited work in Switzerland, Wales, Austria and in group exhibitions around the world. I have painted murals in Switzerland, Germany and Kenya. I have received public commissions, eg for Schönbrunn Palace in Austria.

I am extremely proud to have been involved in the short fantasy film based on "Das Schwarze Auge" (The Dark Eye) - the German equivalent of the pen and paper game "Dungeons and Dragons". I was on set as resident artist. I made several of the props (such as the map of Tobrien), designed the film poster (a woodcut print) and drew the "making of". My drawings also feature in the end credits. I'm hoping to be able to print my "Making of" drawings as a book in the near future. I'll keep you posted.
