Hi, I’m Ciara Cruz, a freelance costume designer and seamstress with over eight years of hands-on experience building, altering, and teaching pattern cutting and corsetry for theatre, film and entertainment industry. Since 2018 I’ve worked on student productions, community shows, and independent projects, specializing in tailoring, draping, millinery, and corsetry, and I love collaborating with designers and directors to bring characters to life. In addition to creating costumes, I’ve taught pattern cutting and mentored aspiring costumers, and I’ve worked with schools and camps as a Costume Designer for productions such as PUFFS, Legally Blonde, 13 Jr The Musical, and 42nd Street.
