Fania Katz

My name is Fania Katz, and I’m a versatile creative from Berlin with a deep passion for self-expression. For decades, I’ve been an illustrator, drawing inspiration from my profound love for animals and nature. I especially enjoy giving animals human-like traits and emotions, bringing them to life in unique and often whimsical ways.

Beyond the visual arts, I’ve also been producing electronic music since 2005. This hobby is a vital creative outlet for me, providing another way to tell stories. Last year, I also began exploring 3D art and modeling, a fascinating new medium that has opened up exciting possibilities for my work.

My art is a playful exploration of the absurd and the wonderfully weird. I use it to process personal topics like depression, chronic illnesses, womanhood, neurodivergencies like ADHD, and ptsd, giving them tangible form as characters. It’s my way of making sense of the world and inviting others to view these deep subjects from a fresh, often more playful perspective.
