Reproducing the Bayeux Tapestry over Three Centuries: A Case Study in the Printed Reproduction of a Work of Art (London: Printing Historical Society, 2024) examines how printing methods from the 18th to 21st centuries shaped the visual representation of the Bayeux Tapestry. Originally developed during the pandemic, the project required extensive refinement, from resolving typographic inconsistencies and completing the index to curating 120 comparative images. The redesigned hardback features a jacketed cover with carefully selected typefaces and a refined typographic system, while the dust jacket presents a striking sequence of major reproductions of the same tapestry section, visually charting how print technologies and interpretation have evolved across three centuries.
