I have over 25 years of experience in editing, proofreading, writing and everything in between! At the moment, I’m working in the internal communications department of a large MedTech company on a FTC where I’m responsible for ensuring employees across the UK are kept informed, updated and engaged with the company’s news and developments and help to embed its key strategic priorities. On a day-to-day basis I update the core suite of Internal Communications channels to ensure engagement at all levels. This includes writing and editing content for the internal audience as well as sourcing stories and working with key stakeholders from all departments to make sure employees get a rounded picture of the whole business. From Day in the Life features to updates on financial results and new MedTech equipment, the content is varied and wide-ranging. Before this role, I was a senior proofreader for a B2B marketing agency where I worked for nearly three years. I was responsible for the proofing, copy editing and QC of all client work as well as internal marketing. The agency has a range of clients across EMEA and the US in a variety of sectors including healthcare, tech, finance and logistics. I have also worked in the publishing world for many years as an editor of various publications and was responsible for the whole editorial process from commissioning writers and planning each issue to final page proofs and sending files off to print.
