Creative Producer Editor at STV Creative
January 1, 2020 - October 31, 2023My role focused on the creation of unique promotional assets for broadcast, radio and social for on-air and online exclusive programming in Scotland. I work closely with the Marketing department on how to best tell stories that our audience will find enticing and engaging.
I have successfully executed over 20 unique campaigns including ones for STV Children's Appeal, the STV UK Wide Campaign when the STV Player became available outside of Scotland and many of the STV/ITV Drama such as Des. I have produced Broadcast Campaigns such as the STV Zero Campaign which included digital, on-air and print assets. I am proud to say we received a 3 star sustainability certification for that production which was also produced under strict covid regulations.
My duties include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualise creative campaigns that increase mind share and drive traffic to the broadcast channel and digital streaming platform
- Copywriting for radios, commercials, promotions, digital assets for our social platforms and other productions that tap into user behaviours and through processes to drive calls-to-action
- Editorial production – working with an editor to create multi-use cuts for different platforms
- Audio production (recording, mixing, mastering) – working with sound engineers to bring stories to life through the use of voiceovers, programme upsound and SFX.
- Auditioning, managing and directing voiceover talents – using my degree in Drama to successfully coax out specific tones, styles and accents to provide a professional and compelling edge to my productions
- Provide support to my fellow producers and the production assistant whether that’s technologically or sharing their workload if the office gets busy
- Work as a team champion for both Social and File delivery – liaising with the Social team to update my colleagues on changes in social requirements in terms of types of content and how this might be delivered.
