I am an artist-educator with formal training in Fine Art and Art Education. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of North Texas, along with six graduate hours in Studio Art and a K-12 Visual Art teaching certification. I am trained to teach gifted and talented students and I have taught Advanced Placement Studio Art at Sam Houston High School. I co-sponsored our high school's robotics team, FR C6655 Texas Robotics, and I sponsored art clubs for the first four years of my teaching, leading large student-led mural projects in the hallways of Sam Houston.
