Hello, I’m Dianyi Zhang, a composer and pianist born into a musical family in China. I began piano at six and started composing at fifteen. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. My works have been performed at the PULSAR Festival, the Ligeti Quartet workshop, Rudersdal Chamber Players concerts, and various academy performances, with representative pieces such as Zero Infinite, Push and Pull, Sedar of Point, and Balance the World. My music explores the tension between sound material and structural form across chamber music, electronics, and cross-media performance. I also teach Chinese language and music in Denmark, combining performance, singing, and rhythm to help students connect language learning with culture.
