I'm Stephen Marra, a UCLA Film School graduate with twelve years on the West Coast as a writer, producer, and editor. Fresh out of film school I wrote for the first season of Entertainment Tonight, and I was commissioned to write Lifesong for NBC and The Last Samurai for Pure Gold Television in Johannesburg. I've written twelve feature screenplays over the last twenty years and produced, written, directed, and edited corporate videos and commercials for clients including Third Street Promenade, California Pizza Kitchen, Eli Lilly, Hilton Hotels, and more. Since 2000, I was one of the lead editors on the syndicated series Game Warden and served as associate producer/editor for the award-winning New York In The 50’s; I co-produced and edited the feature documentary Something To Cheer About and produced the award-winning short Legwork. Beyond that, I produced DVDs for The Bob and Tom Show and the pilot for Friends of the Bob and Tom Show Comedy Tour. I have written, produced, and directed the dramatic short Finale, the short Evidence Of Life, the romantic comedy Amanda, the Internet anthology Frightmares, and the Neon Cornfield pilot. Before film I performed as a touring musician with Ethos, serving as lead singer, bassist, and flutist on a US tour supporting Capitol Records albums. Today I’ve written a full stage musical called Esmeralda and am seeking production partners in New York, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles to move it to the live stage.
