David Austin is a veteran communications and media strategist with over 20 years of experience across Asia, the U.S., and beyond.
David has led high-impact campaigns for global brands and institutions, combining editorial acumen with a deep understanding of strategic marketing. Prior to founding Austin Media, he was Editorial Content Director at Click2View, where he oversaw content strategies for clients such as Visa, Barclays, PropertyGuru, and Fortune Media. He has also worked with CNBC Asia Pacific, BBC, and Salween Group, producing video and branded content for Fortune 500 companies, international NGOs, and regional governments.
At the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy’s Institute for Environment and Sustainability, David designed and executed communications strategies that raised the profile of sustainability initiatives and high-level policy dialogues—most notably coordinating the public launch of the Global Commission for the Economics of Water with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam as Guest of Honour.
An experienced interviewer and podcast host, David has fronted shows including Foreseeable, the flagship podcast of Global-is-Asian, and Navigate by Visa CEMEA. He brings a thoughtful, engaging approach to every conversation, informed by a career at the intersection of journalism, corporate storytelling, and public policy.
David holds a Business Sustainability Management certification from the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership and a BA in Radio, Television & Film from the University of North Texas.
