AI/ML Intern Candidate (Project-Based Experience)

Built an end-to-end AI Resume Matcher web application with a React frontend and a FastAPI backend. The system parses resumes in PDF and DOCX formats, extracts the text, generates semantic embeddings using the all-mpnet-base-v2 sentence-transformer model (PyTorch), and computes similarity between a resume and a target job description to return a match score. Implemented REST APIs for inference and integrated the model pipeline with a responsive UI to support real user workflows. Also developed supporting ML preprocessing and similarity scoring logic to make results meaningful for different resume/job pairs.
