Ruth Berkoff

I’m an actor, roleplayer and theatre maker from Leeds. I’ve acted professionally since 2015, working on stage with Red Ladder in Promised Land / Leeds Lads, and Next Door But One in She Was Walking Home, as well as on screen, winning top finalist in Actress Universe Film Festival 2022 for the short film, Grace, where I played a woman caring for her husband with motor neurone disease

Her roleplay work has spanned medical exams and training, psychiatric exams and training legal exams, prison recruitment and army training.

My training was with Philippe Gaulier, at Circomedia and with Karen Henthorn.

In 2023, I created my first solo show, The Beauty of Being Herd, which has toured the UK, winning runner up for Best Newcomer and Best New Writing at Manchester Fringe 2024 and garnering lots of 4 and 5 star reviews.
