I am a healthy and active 52-year-old male, originally from New Jersey, USA, but currently living in Finland. I have three children who are now young adults in their early twenties.
I have been working as an online automotive news editor for over 25 years. I founded WorldCarFans.com in 2000 and spent 15 years growing it into one of the largest automotive news websites. In 2015, WCF was acquired by Motorsport Network and relaunched as Motor1.com. I continued as Global News Director, working remotely from the UK and Finland. Today, Motor1.com is the largest automotive news site in the world, available in 10 languages. This achievement represents my most significant professional accomplishment.
A personal accomplishment I am proud of is when I was a kart racing mechanic and coach from 2007 to 2015. Despite having no prior experience or knowledge of kart racing, my son became the Junior Finnish National Champion in 2013 and went on to race internationally in Germany, Italy, and the UK with success. Teaching myself the craft of kart racing up to a semi-professional level highlights my adaptability, self-learning capabilities, and resilience in overcoming technical barriers.
I stand out because I am kind, friendly, positive, high-energy, and confident, but also emotionally aware, detail-oriented, reliable, and responsible. I have a strong work ethic and enjoy working with my hands - fixing things around the home, cleaning, organizing, walking, and cycling.
