January 1, 2004 - January 1, 2010Based in London UK I worked on interesting corporate design for; advertising, exhibitions, presentations, packaging, magazines, books and covers for companies such as ATP Tennis, Nike, BP, SEE Tickets, Revolver Entertainment
and Camouflage London. I also worked for publishers such as Macmillan, Pearson, Harper Collins and Penguin.
I learned to be flexible, self-motivated and to always strive to get the very best possible result for the client.

January 1, 2003 - January 1, 2004At Macmillan in Oxford UK I worked on educational publishing products. I was responsible for timelines, budgets, and out-of-house designers. I also had a lot of fun designing series covers, templates and learning activities for which I commissioned illustrations and organised and attended photoshoots.

January 1, 2015 - PresentIn 2015 our family moved to Tonga and I maintained working contacts from Aotearoa NZ and continuing to work as a graphic designer. In 2018 we moved back to NZ and I continue to work as a design contractor working closely with clients on new and interesting projects. A recent career highlight was returning to the Solomon Islands for an illustrator workshop working with local artists who are illustrating for local writers.

January 1, 2013 - January 1, 2014Learning Media (LM) was wound up and Lift was successful in tendering for contracts that LM had held. I became their first designer and helped define that role within their business. It was an exciting time as we carried out a number of new and interesting projects such as designing a range of educational open source fonts (free/creative commons). These fonts were then used in the design of a new range of learning materials. I set up guidelines for the use of the fonts and specifications for all materials.
