I have 28 years of web design experience, from the early days using Dreamweaver and Flash, then Web 2.0 with Ajax and jQuery, up to today - working with responsive design, modern CSS and JavaScript.
I have a solid understanding of how the web has expanded and which approaches are appropriate for different projects.
I still use Illustrator and Photoshop for vector graphics and image optimization, but most website designs are supplied in Figma, which provides clearer design guidelines and speeds up development.
I handle both UX work (markup/CSS/JavaScript) and server-side tasks (stack setup/database/web services), which allows me to bridge the gap between front-end and back-end development.
My technical knowledge also includes working with Linux, hosting setup and administration, configuring Apache/PHP/MySQL, and setting up SSL.
These skills enable me to complete projects independently from start to finish.

This was a low budget single page website using the pro Advanced Custom Fields plugin to create Gutenberg blocks. Hosted with WPEngine.
The design was given to me in Figma, and I created everything from that. No ther devs were involved, I produced the site locally, created a git repo and deployed to staging and live.

It uses some gutenberg blocks, some custom plugins and a very efficient self-made caching system.
Wordpress has a lot of plugins to help with caching, but none which bypass the wordpress core to serve static files only. This speeds up the serving of the pages massively allowing for high traffic on a small server.
