I'm Cosmo Kentish-Barnes, a documentary filmmaker, director and writer based in New Zealand. For several years I served as the South Island producer for RNZ's Country Life, where I helped tell rural stories and bring them to listeners across Aotearoa. Before RNZ I worked as an independent director, writer and producer, creating documentary films that have travelled to festivals and networks around the world. Notable projects include Brut Force, Touch Wood, Life on the Street, Bridging the Gap, American Highway, Resume Play and Journey of Men. I studied film at the University of Canterbury (BFA) and continue to explore new ways to give voice to authentic New Zealand stories.
