uniE608 Art of Andamento Theory Presentation
Art of Andamento is an online mosaic art curriculum that I produce all the video content for. Presented by the internationally renowned mosaic artist Caitlin Hepworth, with whom I own and operate the business, the curriculum is designed for mosaic artists of all levels and experience. These Theory Presentations place mosaic into an historical context as well as positioning it with the wider world of art. I light, shoot, edit, colour grade and mix these videos as well as supplying animations and graphics, sourcing stock footage and researching the topics. The use of stills is also very important in these presentations, and I never fail to find new ways of bringing them to life.
uniE608 Last King of the Cross Trailer
Trailer editing is one of my favourite types of jobs. It can be a great challenge to distil perhaps an entire television series down into one concise, informative and exciting clip that entices viewers to watch, but it is a challenge that I relish. It’s often a great opportunity to work with dynamic music tracks, massive sound effects and meaty scripts. This is a trailer for the provocative and powerful Australian made drama series, Last King of the Cross.
uniE608 Out of the Shadow - Raquel Williams Profile
The Australian horse racing industry produces a colourful array of characters of all types. This video features the independent horse trainer Raquel Williams. Beautifully shot by Entain, this and other stories like it was a pleasure to edit. Music, colour grade and edit are all from me.
uniE608 Hall of Champions Promo Reel
The NSW Hall of Champions is located in Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney, Australia and is an initiative of the NSW State Government to honour the champion athletes and sports people of the state. Each year, athletes are nominated by their respective sport’s governing body in the hope that they will be chosen for inclusion in the Hall of Champions. In 2025, I was asked to complete a promotional reel that included as many as possible of the athletes inducted into the Hall of Champions in the last five to ten years. There was lots of archive footage to source and use, of variable quality and vintage. I chose to approach the job in a music video style, with an action montage set to music and with minimal narrative. I love this type of job, cutting to music has always been both a favourite and forte of mine.
uniE608 Kynan - Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital and Team Kids
The Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, Australia plays a vital role in the health system, providing emergency care, day to day support, research and community assistance to a huge number of South Australin families. Team Kids is the fund-raising arm of the hospital, and I was commissioned to post produce a series of short stories and promotions that were used in TV specials to help raise the revenue that is vital to keep the hospital going. At times harrowing, the stories are deeply emotional and show the incredible difference that the Women’s and Children’s Hospital makes in the lives of so many. This story features a family whose critically ill baby son was eventually able to lead a normal life, thanks to the work of a dedicated team of health professionals.
    uniE608 Racing With The Boss
In Australian horse racing, Glen Boss is a legend, having won pretty much all there is to win as a jockey. Since retiring, Glen has found himself doing an increasing amount of media in and around the racing industry. In this clip, GB is giving his thoughts on challenges that the industry faces and some well considered solutions. I chose a music video style approach, with dominant music choices, dynamic camera moves and reframes along with an array of sound effects. It could have been a fairly dry piece, but I think this has verve and character, is still a bit tongue in cheek and manages to tell the story too! I love this dynamic and heavily music based approach in editing.
uniE608 Finding a Way - Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital and Team Kids
The Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, Australia plays a vital role in the health system, providing emergency care, day to day support, research and community assistance to a huge number of South Australin families. Team Kids is the fund-raising arm of the hospital, and I was commissioned to post produce a series of short stories and promotions that were used in TV specials to help raise the revenue that is vital to keep the hospital going. At times harrowing, the stories are deeply emotional and show the incredible difference that the Women’s and Children’s Hospital makes in the lives of so many. This story introduces viewers to the reality of palliative care for children, where an extraordinary team supports families through their most difficult times, but in a way that brings light, love and understanding to these incredibly brave people.
    uniE608 Next Stop Hollywood Trailer
Another example of trailer editing, this is for an unscripted series that is based in Hollywood during "Pilot Season" where actors ply their trade to land their dream role in newly minted or proposed TV productions. It features six Australian actors in the cutthroat world of LA, each one doing all that they can to get the big break that could lead to international stardom. Trailer editing always has its challenges but the difficulty here was to not only boil down six episodes into a short glimpse, but to also give presence to the six actors and the dramatic circumstances that each one found themselves in. It was a fun job and a great series.
uniE608 Layne Beachley - NSW Hall of Champions
The NSW Hall of Champions is located in Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney, Australia and is an initiative of the NSW State Government to honour the champion athletes and sports people of the state. Each year, athletes are nominated by their respective sport’s governing body for inclusion in the Hall of Champions. I produce bio videos for the athletes that are to be inducted. One of the more challenging aspects of these videos is researching and sourcing the footage that is required to tell the key aspects of each athlete's story. It often hard to find, and the quality of the material is variable, so different methods of dressing up poor quality archive are needed. This video features Australian surfing legend Layne Beachley.
uniE608 Crowded House - ARIA Hall of Fame
The ARIA Awards in Australia are the music industry’s gala awards night. A TV spectacular, I produced a body of work over many years that was featured during the shows. This video showcased the legacy of the band Crowded House as they accepted their Hall of Fame Award
    uniE608 Volle Jewellery Theatre Presentation
Volle Jewellery is a leading jewellery retailer that operates in the heart of the Sydney CBD area. They specialise in opals, diamonds and pearls. For many years, they have used this video in a uniquely styled and presented theatre that is in the basement of their building. The theatre is beautifully lit with interactive lighting technology that is programmed to accompany this presentation and also features powerful surround sound. This presentation shows my ability to work with footage that is sourced exclusively by the client. As the footage was supplied, I make no apologies about the quality of it, but have done my best to show sometimes poor quality material as well as can be expected. The script, written by me, and the score, sound effects and voice over are all used to best support the video footage. This is an example of a "faceless" documentary or story. It is unashamedly dramatic and it should be noted that there is no vision for the first section, instead a soundscape that introduces the theatre viewers to their "underground" world.
uniE608 Brett Lee - NSW Hall of Champions
The NSW Hall of Champions is located in Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney, Australia and is an initiative of the NSW State Government to honour the champion athletes and sports people of the state. Each year, athletes are nominated by their respective sport’s governing body for inclusion in the Hall of Champions. I produce bio videos for the athletes that are to be inducted. One of the more challenging aspects of these videos is researching and sourcing the footage that is required to tell the key aspects of each athlete’s story. It often hard to find, and the quality of the material is variable, so different methods of dressing up poor quality archive are needed. This video features Australian cricketer Brett Lee.
