About
Hi there! I’m Ashley Franklin, a bookseller and freelance illustrator/cartoonist based in Austin, Texas. I blend a love of children’s literature with hands-on creation, from hand-sold picture books at First Light Books to drawing pieces for clients like The New Yorker and Texas Medicine.
I also celebrate storytelling through festivals, panels, and workshops across North America, and I enjoy teaching art to young creators in my community. I merge traditional and digital techniques and love collaborating with teams or working solo to bring stories to life.
