Paragraph 1: Whilst working full time, I was building up my reputation as a photographer and started to operate under the business name of i74photography. I wanted to develop my talent, so I studied photography with the University of the Arts, London. This was a two-year qualification and I passed both years at a distinction level. With support from my lecturer, I gained the confidence to push myself further and began photographing events such as weddings, graduation ceremonies and corporate events, as well as live music shoots. Paragraph 2: I also run a small photographic competition I created called Photography Wars, a team event where images are taken based on set themes. Having worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, I have a strong understanding of commercial awareness and business practice. Contractual law and company compliance have also informed my professional, freelance photography practice.
