To whom it may concern, I’m a designer from Michigan, currently working in a remote position as Junior Art Director at Diocesan Publishing in Grand Rapids. I’m excited about the Freelance Illustrator position because I feel my work appeals to diverse audiences while maintaining a classic illustrative appeal, and I especially thrive on developing team design projects from ideation to implementation in a collaborative environment. I have experience in illustration, design, typography, and copywriting from my three years at Diocesan in the capacity of both Graphic Artist and Junior Art Director on the Marketing team. I received my BFA in Illustration from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. I also have experience retouching at GTB and Makerhouse from my internship in 2021. I have successfully performed in both in-person and remote roles, and feel I could perform in a Hybrid role as well. My creative method is adaptive, while also maintaining high design standards and meeting hard deadlines. I have produced print materials from initial ideation to print, including Curator, a Diocesan publication. I am responsible for the curation of Diocesan’s extensive Library of Art, which includes researching and retouching historic artworks from public domain resources, and creating marketing materials for the Library. I enjoy creating original illustrations for the Library using traditional and digital media. I have experience bringing large projects from concept to implementation, including designing Bulletins and writing coordinating copy for our featured works of art. I work hard and pride myself on initiative and self direction while remaining open to direction and engagement with an evolving brief. From this experience, I feel confident my work ethic and skill set would be complementary to this position, and that I would provide a valuable asset to the team at Twine. I am excited for the opportunity to apply, and thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Anna Restuccia
