About
I’m Luis E. Luque Álvarez, a music teacher, composer, and researcher based in Europe, with double EU citizenship. I work as a violinist and violin teacher, supporting students in instrumental, chamber, and ensemble music through regular concerts, festivals, and STEAM- and space-related presentations; I also compose music for special events such as missions and stories.
I’m also involved in space musicology and microgravity-focused research: I coordinate and contribute to ESA Education initiatives on music for space exploration, helping musicalize experiments onboard the ISS’s Columbus module. In addition, I’ve volunteered as an education advisor for NASA/Eclipse Soundscape—Citizen Science, creating ways for educators and community participants to engage with eclipse effects through structured learning and participation.
