Karel Prinsloo

Hi, I’m Karel Prinsloo, an award-winning photojournalist with extensive African and Middle East experience, specializing in conflict zones and humanitarian crises. I work with NGOs, UN agencies and major media, focusing on drone photography, teaching photography and videography to tell compelling stories and raise awareness.

I’ve covered wars and crises across Africa, the Middle East and beyond, coordinating photographers and producing visuals for fundraising and advocacy. My photos have appeared on front pages and in major outlets, and I’m passionate about mentoring others and sharing storytelling skills to help others tell powerful, responsible stories.
