About
I’m Ochuko Iredia, a senior full-stack developer and software engineer with 5+ years of experience building high-performance web applications, scalable backend services, and polished, responsive user experiences. I work across the full stack using React and Next.js on the frontend, and Node.js, Express/Fastify, GraphQL, and TypeScript on the backend—always focusing on clean architecture, reliability, and measurable performance improvements.
In my recent freelance work, I’ve architected and delivered custom platforms, optimized MongoDB/Redis data layers to reduce API latency, and streamlined delivery using Docker and CI/CD automation. I enjoy owning features end-to-end—from system design and performance tuning to testing with Jest and Cypress—while also mentoring teammates and turning product goals into maintainable, well-tested engineering solutions.

Architected and delivered custom full-stack web applications and high-throughput content management systems using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript. Designed and optimized MongoDB and Redis data-access layers, reducing API latency by 42% while maintaining performance under burst traffic. Containerized development and production pipelines with Docker and automated releases through GitHub Actions CI/CD. Built reusable modular UI systems and championed TDD with Jest and Cypress, achieving 85%+ test coverage.
Engineered and scaled customer-facing platforms handling 500K+ monthly active users using React, Redux, Node.js, Express/Fastify, and GraphQL. Led sprint reviews, reviewed pull requests, and mentored junior engineers on clean-code and microservices practices. Refactored legacy codebases into structured Domain-Driven Design architectures to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability. Optimized Core Web Vitals and client bundle sizes using Next.js SSR/SSG, dynamic imports, and browser caching strategies.
Contributed to backend engineering focused on APIs and database systems. Supported database performance through query optimization and backend data-access improvements. Mentored newer developers and shared practical backend engineering guidance within the team.
