I have worked full time as a designer since graduating in 2003. Over the years I have worked for both suppliers and in-house and I have extensive retail, product and manufacturing knowledge. Since 2016 I have enjoyed being freelance on a full-time basis specialising in print design for the fashion market. I work with a wide variety of customers from the UK and across the world. These vary across categories including retail, licensed, supplier, catalogue and wholesale. Over the last few years I have specialised in the boys graphic market - working on graphics in the directions of sports, skateboarding and streetwear to name a few. Alongside design I am used to working with factories on a daily basis, making fit comments, approving lab dips and strike offs. I also have managed critical paths and am very aware of costing restraints with-in clothing. I understand the importance of working to tight deadlines and good communication. It is a job I adore and a great industry to be in. I thrive in fast-paced design teams, love collaborating with buyers, factories, and cross-functional partners, and I enjoy mentoring junior designers and shaping ranges from concept to production.
