I am Marika and i am a photographer based in Frankfurt with a background in Theatre, Film, and Media Studies. My work moves between documentary observation and poetic interpretation. I am drawn to quiet moments — transitions, gestures, bodies in space, intimacy, and stillness. I work intuitively and precisely at the same time. Many of my images emerge through movement, breath, and the conscious use of light, blur, and manual camera settings. For me, photography is not about perfection, but about presence — about what remains when you truly look. My visual language is shaped by urban spaces, human relationships, and personal memory. Cities, streets, architecture, and people become carriers of emotion, history, and inner states. I photograph not only what is visible, but also what exists in between.
