Giles Brody is a Dublin-based writer, director, and performer, with a primary focus on writing for stage, screen, and audio. He holds a Master’s degree in Screenwriting from the Huston School of Film & Digital Media and has developed a wide-ranging body of written work, including plays, radio sitcoms, television scripts, and comedy material.
His recent writing credits include scripts for the Finnish animated series Joy Eternal and jokes for the 2025 IFTAs. In 2021, he won the Galway Film Fleadh Pitching Competition for his screenplay Top Marks. His original writing has been produced by Smock Alley Theatre (Ends), and includes the short film The Last Priests and the viral sketch Christmas Joe for NewsCheck, starring Owen Colgan.
Brody has written for and contributed material to a range of television and radio productions, including Irish Pictorial Weekly, The Alison Spittle Show, The McGahern Tribunal Pilot, Slow News Day, and Sorry For Your Troubles. He has collaborated extensively with comedians such as Kevin McGahern and Alison Spittle, and has written on commercial campaigns for organisations including the GAA and Warner Bros.
