I’m an editor because I’m a storyteller first.
I didn’t come up through presets or shortcuts. I came up studying films frame by frame, cutting scenes that didn’t work, learning rhythm, restraint, and when not to cut. Editing is judgment. Taste. Knowing what to remove so what remains lands harder.
I’ve spent decades writing, directing, shooting, and editing narrative films, documentaries, and branded content. That matters. An editor who understands directing understands intent. One who writes understands structure. One who’s been on set understands reality. I don’t assemble footage—I interpret it.
I’ve edited award-winning indie features and shorts with Hollywood-level expectations on limited resources. That teaches discipline fast. Every cut has to earn its place. Pacing, clarity, and emotional continuity aren’t optional.
YouTube isn’t lesser cinema—it’s a different language. The hook arrives sooner, the rhythm is tighter, but story still rules. Whether it’s 30 seconds or 90 minutes, the question is the same: why should I keep watching?
I embrace new tools, but I don’t outsource taste. Technology serves the story, not the other way around.
I cut clean, fast, and with intention. I respect the audience. I protect the story.
