I'm Jasmine H. Low, an impact-first entrepreneur and co-founder of GIG International Group. I’m passionate about marrying factual and fiction storytelling to create lasting documentaries and narrative content with a clear public health purpose, including mental health-focused short films and PSAs addressing violence against women. I strive to produce work that can influence policy and shift perspectives, while engaging audiences with meaningful storytelling. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master of Arts in Screen Business at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), having deferred another Master in Public Health at the University of Sydney. I’m inspired by 1980s cinema and the power of storytelling to drive change. I’ve produced short films, long-form documentaries, podcasts, event highlight videos and corporate content; I’ve worked as a fixer, researcher and field producer for international broadcast media and production companies, including Sky News, Channel NewsAsia, Good Films (producers of Tiger King), German TV, Greenpeace and others. Based in Sydney, I travel frequently within the Asia-Pacific for assignments, and I’m a Malaysian of fifth-generation Chinese heritage from Shantou (Swatow), born in Penang and schooled in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. I’ve spent the majority of my undergrad years in Sydney and Australia, and the past 18 years building impact productions in Malaysia.
