I am a bilingual German-Zimbabwean author based in Berlin, Germany. I completed my Master of Arts in Comparative Literature at the University of Sussex in England, and began my writing career with daily series before moving into editorial work. I spent several years as a commissioning editor in the in-house production department of a large German private broadcaster. As a freelance writer, I have made a name for myself with dramatic comedies such as Barfuß bis zum Hals (Barefoot from Head to Toe), Mona kriegt ein Baby, and Mein Sohn Helen (nominated for The German Comedy Prize), as well as with political dramas. My episode Life After Death for Tatort, about the death penalty in the GDR, was shown on ARD in November 2019 to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
