Hello, I'm Celia Oni Porto. I am a biology researcher and educator with a strong interest in biodiversity, genetics, and evolution. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Porto in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution, following a Master of Science in Biology with a specialization in Conservation Biology from the University of Gothenburg and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Barry University and the University of North Georgia. My academic path has developed a passion for applying quantitative methods and geographic information systems to conservation challenges and to teaching others about science. I have experience as a French language trainer, an animal care trainee in a primate research setting, and a teaching assistant. I enjoy bridging science and outreach, and I routinely use R for statistical analysis and QGIS for spatial work.
