Xiang Jin Yu (Sofia)

My name is Xiang Jinyu. I am currently studying Media and Marketing at Curtin University Singapore, after completing a Diploma in Art and Creative Industries at the same institution. I use English fluently in my daily life, especially in school, work, and social settings in Singapore, where English is the main language of communication. I speak Mandarin Chinese as my native language, which I mainly use at home and within the Chinese-speaking community, and I also have basic knowledge of Korean.

In terms of work experience, I have worked as a dance instructor in Singapore, teaching both children and adults from different backgrounds, which has strengthened my communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. I also have experience as a freelance videographer and photographer through university projects, creating short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Additionally, I actively manage my own social media account, giving me hands-on experience in content creation, video editing, and audience engagement. My background in dance performance and media production allows me to communicate confidently, creatively, and effectively in both professional and creative environments.
