Machine Learning Researcher Trainee at CSIRO Clayton

Conducted research in AI for drug discovery and assessed its real-life applicability. Applied AI to predictive analysis of molecules’ pharmacokinetic properties, accelerating drug screening and reducing cost. Curated training data, implemented multitask learning, launched hyperparameter optimisation, and generated various molecular embeddings on Graph Neural Networks. Utilised high-performance computing and SLURM for a productive workflow. Participated in an AI for drug discovery competition; achieved a top 8 position on the leaderboard with a macro-averaged relative absolute error of ~0.57. Collaborated with AI engineering and computational chemistry teams to resolve bottlenecks and optimise model performance. Developed academic writing skills through literature reviews and publishing papers.
Remote AI Engineer Internship at FPT Software

Explored the application of multimodal models in manufacturing to process computer vision and human language for enhanced operational efficiency. Improved the accuracy of object detection models for buildings, roads, trees, and recreational pools by 15% through optimizing ROI ratio to 0.5 and RPN threshold to 0.9, aiding infrastructure planning.
