Hi, I’m Alexander Machlouzarides-Shalit, a Cypriot/American filmmaker and director. I tell human stories through bold visuals, working across directing, cinematography, and editing. I’ve earned multiple international awards for Directing, Writing, Cinematography and Editing, including 20 Euros (2024), and I was Cyprus Young Lions Gold Winner and Cyprus’s representative at the 2025 Cannes Young Lions awards. I hold an MA in Film Directing from MetFilm School London and a BA in Film Studies from Falmouth University, and I’ve collaborated on projects with Seahorse Productions and Digital TV, among others. I thrive in collaborative teams, mentoring large crews and working across Europe from Norway/Sweden to Stockholm, with Red Bull Gaming Sphere collaborations. My professional work spans freelance shoots, festival videography, and digital content production for Digital TV (DigitalTree Ltd.). I’m passionate about storytelling in short films and branded content, and I’m always looking for new opportunities to push creative boundaries while staying true to authentic characters and places.
