Coula Karasava

I am a seasoned, qualified Video Reporter with many years of experience in video production. I have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and leadership qualities, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. I work well with others in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and am a capable self-starter with organizational and people skills. I have a solid understanding and passion for stories, and I am widely experienced in all multimedia production cycle processes, including television studios, staged events, and multi-camera sports. I have also worked on documentary films and famous reality shows.

Using creativity and imagination, and exercising strong professional news judgment, I gather information, conduct interviews, shoot video, produce, and report on assigned stories and events daily. I often work alone to report, shoot, and edit stories, ensuring they are factually accurate, fair, and clear. I deal professionally with the public, both official and non-official, and stay familiar with local and national news by reading newspapers and monitoring competition so I can speak credibly during breaking news. I maintain extensive knowledge of issues, events, and newsmakers across the division viewing area and adapt scripts for the channel’s website while meeting all deadlines.
