Simon Shapiro

I’m Simon Shapiro, a classic storyteller and award-winning singer-songwriter known for supporting other artists and writing songs with and for established acts such as Darryl Braithwaite, 1927, and Shannon Noll. I’ve toured with international acts and shared the stage with industry giants like Simple Minds, Roxette and Michael McDonald, building a career as a versatile musician and songwriter.

I’m deeply involved in country music projects, co-writing hits like Beyond These City Lights, and pursuing my own solo singer-songwriter path with a repertoire of powerful, story-driven songs. After ten years as the bass player for 1927, I’m now focused on recording and performing as a solo artist, bringing fresh energy to the world with my music.
