I was born in London, England, and I spend most of the year in Victoria, BC. My work spans theatre, film, and music as an actor, director, and writer. I trained and performed with the Actor’s Workshop in Vancouver through the mid-1970s and later established, owned, and operated the Screen Actor’s Studio in Victoria from 1985 through 2015. I’ve had lyrics recorded for commercials with Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, and songs recorded by Michael Bublé, Lee Greenwood, The Bootleg Band, and others. I was awarded Country Song of the Year in 1987 for Ordinary People. I’ve written scripts for feature-length works, short films, and animation, and I’m currently developing plays, including a libretto and lyrics for a workshop musical based on Erik Satie’s music. My collection The Teleporter’s Handbook appeared in 2018, followed by Picasso On a Napkin, a lyric-poems collection. I’d love to hear from readers and stay in touch about upcoming events.
