Hi, I’m Ted Broughey, a performing musician and educator, as well as a film and documentary producer, videographer, and editor. I create original scores for film, produce and edit marketing and documentary videos from concept to completion, and enjoy blending music with storytelling. I’ve taught drums since 1986 in Fitchburg, MA (Fitchburg Music and The Music Box) and privately on Martha’s Vineyard in Vineyard Haven, MA. As a student of Alan Dawson, I guided students toward his Rudimental Ritual, emphasizing precise stick control and polyrythmic independence, with study materials like Ted Reed’s Syncopation, Don Kirby’s Polyrythmic Independence on the Drumset, and George Lawrence Stone’s Stick Control.
