About
I’m Jiaer Chen, a filmmaker and writer currently pursuing a BA in Philosophy at the University of Sussex. My practice explores imagination, perception, and meaning, blending structured narrative with philosophical inquiry to illuminate how stories shape our understanding of reality. I enjoy building confined, concept-driven forms that push for clarity and emotional resonance within modest production contexts.
Beyond writing and directing, I lead and participate in online creative communities, curate interdisciplinary projects that fuse film and philosophy, and collaborate across East–West contexts to foster dialogue about art, cinema, and ideas.
