Marty Johnson is an Emmy-nominated writer, working in children’s television, with a background in writing educational media for museums and institutions. She was a staff writer for the twice Emmy-winning series The Tiny Chef Show—as well as Helpsters and Go, Dog. Go! In addition, Marty writes dark character-based comedies infused with social satire, to entertain adults. She is currently a fellow of The Writers Lab, where she is developing a dark comedy pilot. Marty has written scripts for exhibits and installations at the Indianapolis Zoo, Surf Ballroom, Boston Science Museum and many more. Her scripts have won Best Screenplay in the Women in Horror Film Fest, and been finalists in Showtime’s Tony Cox Screenplay Competition, Austin Film Festival and others. She has a background in sketch and improv comedy.
