I’m Talia Hodge, a Māori designer and artist originally from Rotorua, New Zealand. I earned a scholarship for vernacular design and placed third in New Zealand for my research, focusing on process, autonomy, and cultural heritage, and I developed an innovative timber carving method using fire that stands apart from traditional techniques.
In the past five years I have worked across photography, web design, motion graphics, digital graphics, mould making, and fire carving. I now freelance in digital design, creating logos, websites, and social media content without outsourcing. Based in Australia, I aim to transition to a more sustainable, fully remote role, leveraging my experience to deliver efficient, effective design and advertising solutions.
