Hi, I’m Nikos Gkikas. I was born in Athens, Greece, in 1975, and I studied Greek Literature and Ancient Philosophy. My debut novel The Murderer’s Last Will was published in 2019 by Bell Editions in Greece, and it received glowing reviews that still echo as time goes by. Since then I’ve written three more novels, including a crime fiction sequel, a love story, and a multi-genre collection of 19 short stories. I’ve also published two plays, Flatiron (2021) and The Great Vesper (2022), as well as a short-stories anthology Society (2024) with Theodosis Papadimitropoulos Editions. In addition to writing, I spent seven years as a freelance translator, content creator, beta-reader and editor for Greek publishing houses. Although I live in a small community outside Kalavryta, Peloponnese, I’ve also built experience in the Greek tourism industry, working as a receptionist and Front Desk Manager at hotels on various islands and in Kalavryta. I’m always open to new challenges in the civilized world, and I continue to write, edit, and create content that connects with readers and travelers alike.
