I joined Ogilvy & Mather NZ to direct TVCs in 2011 and have shot over 200 television commercials for clients such as Countdown, KFC, Pizza Hut, Holden and Carl’s Jr. I continue to direct on a contract basis for various clients, balancing directing with post‑production work. I moved into television directing and post‑production when I left Ogilvy and have managed to keep a steady balance. I’ve got over 30 years of experience as an editor, working across TVC, documentary, music promos, drama and animation. Part of my job as a director is to write scripts, either as part of the evolving pre‑production process, or on set on the fly.
