Hi there, My name is Jared Hutchison. I am interested in the position you have available. A bit of background on me, I grew up on a dairy farm obsessed with movies (Jurassic Park VHS was on repeat in my house). When it came time to decide on a career path I went to Fanshawe College for filmmaking and editing. As for my experience, for over three years I’ve worked as a 1st Assistant Video Editor on the History Channel show “American Pickers.” I was in charge of all the raw footage from when it arrived at the office to when it was uploaded for editors (synced, grouped and organized). I created short form web content from the video that wasn’t included in the main television episodes. I also worked on conforming episodes and preparing master files and sending them to distributors. I am well versed in avid, resolve, and the adobe suite. I also worked as a Content Creator and Manager for a small multi-media company, out of London Ontario where I worked with clients directly as a videographer, photographer and video editor. I am a dedicated worker and I bring a bit of the blue-collar mentality that was instilled in me from growing up and working on my family's farm for years. I have also been told by bosses and colleagues alike that I am an organized individual who is always looking for ways to improve workflow.
