My name is Franco Arriaza and I have been a freelance Audio Engineer and musician for almost 8 years. I began to delve into audio at my parents church, first learning to play instruments before taking an interest in how the sound was being produced. Through elementary and high school, I started to focus on music as a passion and that grew into a love for the "behind the scenes" of audio engineering. I was always around my musician family members and when watching them perform I would hand around the sound console watching the engineer work. After college, I applied and studied at the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology in London, Ontario to get my degree in Audio Engineering and Music Production. At the school, I learned extremely valuable information regarding all there is to know from the 'correct' way to wrap a cable all the way to the relationship between the attack and release on a compressor. Studying this allowed me to focus my skills on live performances, music production, podcast mixing and even church services and events which I usually volunteer at to give back to the community where I started. Music may have been my passion but the love of audio is what got me to realize it.
