“Is My Mind Me” is an experimental animation combining hand drawn 2D animation and paper stop motion to explore what it feels like to live inside a mind that won’t quiet down. The piece follows a character consumed by cycles of overthinking so deep and so relentless that reality itself begins to lose its shape, a space where everything feels true and nothing feels certain, where the world outside and the world inside become impossible to tell apart.

They run. They spiral. They are chased by the weight of there own thoughts, demons that are entirely there own making. The animation loops them through this interior landscape, trapping them in the same cycles that overthinking creates, the sense that you are moving, struggling, trying, and yet somehow always arriving back at the same place.

The hybrid format, fluid hand drawn movement colliding with the tactile, fragmented texture of paper stop motion, mirrors that tension between the fluid and the fixed, the imagined and the physical. “Is My Mind Me” doesn’t offer resolution. It sits inside the feeling instead, and asks whether the mind consuming you and the mind protecting you were ever really two different things.
