Specializing in Narrative Environments and Immersive Sonic Storytelling With a PhD in Architecture and Design Science (IUAV Venice) and a Master’s in Music and New Technologies (Florence Conservatory), I bring a unique, research-driven approach to sound design for documentary and film. My work focuses on the profound interaction between sound, space, and the body, translating complex atmospheres into compelling auditory narratives. As a specialist in spatial audio and field recording, I provide a comprehensive suite of sound services for documentary filmmakers: Narrative Sound Design: I craft immersive sonic landscapes that act as a bridge between the visual frame and the audience's emotional experience. My recent work includes sound design for From a vertebral collapse mountains arose (2026) and music/sound for VR experiences (The Blinds, MaxLab). Audio Restoration & Post-Production: Trained in audio restoration at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, I possess the technical rigor required to clean complex location recordings and archive materials—a critical asset for documentary storytelling. Acoustic Research & Spatialization: My expertise in 3D audio (Ambisonics, IKO) and "sound as a space generator" allows me to design innovative soundscapes for VR documentaries and site-specific installations, such as those presented at the Venice Biennale and ZKM Karlsruhe. Original Composition: Beyond sound effects, I compose original electroacoustic music and live electronics, ensuring a seamless organic integration between the score and the environmental sound design. Currently a lecturer in Sound Creation at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, I combine academic excellence with an extensive international portfolio. My goal is to transform the "voice" of every project into a vivid, multidimensional space that enhances the director's vision.
