Hello, I am Gordon Sutherland, currently the Principal Motion Designer for an HR software company in the New Jersey/New York area. I lead the video team and produce video creative for the Brand/Studio team within the Marketing department. I specialize in creating and editing animations, illustrations, photography, video and sound to develop complex concepts into engaging visuals using Adobe After Effects and Premiere, and I am also proficient in graphic design. A bit of background: I started at Digitas Health in Philadelphia, working with project managers and designers in an agency setting, then moved to graphic and motion design for startups before taking on my current role for the past twelve years. I have built the video team in-house, overseeing pre- to post-production, equipment, shoots, editing, animation, video hosting, procurement, and project management, while leading motion designers and freelancers. I collaborate with product teams to create assets in Figma and animate them, bringing static designs to life.
